She is the Chair of the Global Council on Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on Goal 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy”, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani Group, the International Institute of Finance (IIF), the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), and the “Platform Buna Arab Payments, and the Executive Board of the US-Emirati Business Council. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of MasterCard.
She has more than 22 years of experience in the banking sector, during which she held a number of positions, including: Executive Vice President and Head of Personal Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the same bank in Switzerland, and Vice President of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies. She is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai First and Aseel Finance Company, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company “Du”.
She also held several positions at First Gulf Bank, namely: Head of the Strategic Planning Department between 2007 and 2014, Head of Corporate Communications between 2005 and 2006, Vice President of the Retail Banking Group between 2002 and 2004, and Director of Product Development and Marketing between 2000 and 2002.
Al Rostamani also worked at Citi Bank between 1996 and 1999, where she held the position of Assistant Director of the Credit Cards Department and Assistant Director of the Credit Policy Unit.
Forbes Middle East ranked her among the “100 Most Powerful Businesswomen in the Middle East” lists for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023.
She holds a Master’s degree in Information Management from George Washington University in the US, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the same university.
