Shatta had just dawned when
in 1988 Mohamed Shatta, who gave his name to the company, started a small-scale
furnishing and upholstery fabrics manufacturing business in Cairo, Egypt. By
the 1990s, the company had become wholesaler to the upholstery industry,
supplying furnishing fabrics and components for manufacturing furniture. The
company continued to evolve, to eventually encompass upholstery manufacturing.
In the 2000s, Shatta started its own in-house design studio, injecting a more
creative approach to design, which redefined Shatta as the design-led company
it is known as today.

Today

Shatta has become a
leading institution in this field by continuously growing & developing with
over 650 staff members employed at the factory, warehouses, showrooms, studio &
offices.
In recognition of our increasing achievements, we started exporting to more
than 10 countries in 3 continents offering high quality products,
customer services, productivity, design, costing & prices.

Environment

Moreover, all our fabrics received
the ISO Quality Certificate, which guarantees the lack of harmful substances in
textile products, in the entire transformation process, & until it reaches the
final consumer.

We also received the OHSAS
18000, occupational health and safety information, guidance and resources to
support this standard. 

Design Creations

The variety & attractiveness
of designs are what set Shatta apart from competition. It has a professional
experienced & creative designer team, who are trained in well-known textile
universities. They create hundreds of new fabric styles every year.
